Sevierville, located in the beautiful valley of the Forks of the Little Pigeon River, is the eighth oldest town in Tennessee. It was founded in 1795. Sevierville is named for John Sevier, the first governor of Tennessee, and Dolly Parton is Sevierville's most famous hometown girl.

Produced by 7-time Emmy Award Winner, Randy Rebold, Come Celebrate America features the nation’s most traveled assembly troupe, Primary Focus, and showcases all of America in over 3,000 gorgeous images displayed on one of the world’s largest video screens. Fixin’ 2 Rain Broadway show production featuring spectacular special effects, real rain and animals that talk! Watch Noah and his boys build the ark on stage as storm clouds gather over the Great Smoky Mountains. The show is filled with tunes similar to music from “O’ Brother Where Art Thou.” With the costume and production style of “The Lion King,” Fixin’ 2 Rain will premiere at Governor’s Palace Theater on April 1, 2006.
Douglas Lake View Stables: This full-service stable offers scenic trail rides, sunset and moonlight rides, overnight rides, hayrides, riding lessons, horseback wedding packages, and even a petting zoo.
Five Oaks Riding Stables: Offering guided trail rides from ½ hour to 1 hour in length, Five Oaks Riding Stables is open year round weather permitting and is conveniently located just off the Parkway in Sevierville near great shopping and dining. Riders ages 6 and up are welcome.
Floyd Garrett’s Muscle Car Museum: Experience the newest, largest, and most incredible collection of American Muscle Cars ever assembled, including Big Block Chevys, Mopars, Shelby Mustangs, rare engines and specialty cars like Elvis’ first limousine and an authentic moonshine car. Then browse the extensive gift shop, with gifts for women, men and kids! Forbidden Caverns: Home to the largest wall of rare cave onyx known to exist in the world, Forbidden Caverns is one of America’s most spectacular caves. Guests can enjoy educational, guided tours through sparkling formations, towering natural chimneys, numerous grottos and a crystal-clear stream. Great China Acrobats: More than 40 incredible performers bring the ancient art of the Chinese acrobats to Sevierville, TN. Some of the classic arts include: climbing swinging poles, contortions with ladders, pagoda of bowls, contortion with glasses by two people and other incredible feats. During the show, a narrator provides information about the importance of acrobatics and its historical significance in Chinese culture. Open seasonally beginning in April
NASCAR SpeedPark: NASCAR SpeedPark offers 8 thrilling tracks from the kid friendly Baby Bristol to the Smoky Mountain Speedway where guests must be 16 years of age with a valid state-issued license and at least 64” tall to ride in the 5/8 scale NEXTEL Cup style cars. Guests can putt past the animated, fire breathing dragon on the medieval style 18-hole miniature golf course or take a swing on the new 18-hole ADA course complete with fire bellowing volcano. Then, guests can get soaked on “SpeedBumpers” Bumper Boats—double-seat, electric-powered bumper boats featuring water shooters – or enjoy the Thrill Zone! With six family fun rides, including a NASCAR themed carousel and mini-coaster, the Thrill Zone is fun for everyone.
Ripley’s Old MacDonald’s Farm Mini-Golf: Made up of three 18-hole putting courses, built around a classic “down-on-the-farm” country theme, features a variety of animatronics including farm animals like cows, ducks, pigs and horses that respond, creating a uniquely interactive and family-fun experience. While there, visit the Ripley’s Super Fun Zone for the latest arcade games, prizes and simulators.
Rainforest Adventures: This is one of the largest reptile zoos in the world. Home to giant Pythons, beautiful tree frogs and deadly cobras, this new all-indoor facility is open year round. Rainforest Adventures also showcases some furrier animals including ring-tailed lemurs. Featuring masterfully recreated habitats, this impressive animal collection is displayed in educational and naturalistic settings.
Scenic Helicopter Tours: See the mountains from above with Scenic Helicopter Tours. Nine different helicopter tours are offered to suit your needs and budget. All pilots are FAA certified and both ground crew and pilots take a great deal of pride in the level of safety provided to guests.
Smoky Mountain Deer Farm & Stables: Located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, this petting zoo includes goats, deer, reindeer, zebras, zonkeys, cows, camels (both single and double hump), ostriches, kangaroos and more! The Deer Farm Riding Stables are also at this location and offer rides from ½ hour to 2 hours in length.
Smoky Mountain Knifeworks: This massive 55,000 square foot knife museum and store features an amazing variety of cutlery. New for winter 2005, an additional 33,000 square feet of showroom space and the addition of the National Knife Museum.
Tennessee Museum of Aviation: A 50,000 square-foot museum including airworthy Warbird Aircraft, historical aviation artifacts and memorabilia presented in a patriotic atmosphere. This is the only aviation museum on an airport, enabling aircraft to actually land and taxi up to the museum where parking has been made available. Now on display, a roadster believed to have been created especially for Amelia Earheart and the James Doolittle Medal of Honor. The Tennessee Museum of Aviation also includes a kids’ interactive area which offers See How Planes Fly, Learn to Fly and a Career Center. Tennessee Smokies Stadium: Take a nine-inning vacation with the Tennessee Smokies Baseball team, Sevierville’s very own AA Professional Baseball team. Games are played regularly throughout the spring and summer, but when the Smokies are away, look for concerts and other events at this venue.
The Apple Barn and Cider Mill: Visiting the Apple Barn and Cider Mill is a Sevierville tradition. A genuine working farm, the Apple Barn grows and picks fourteen varieties of apples from more than 14,000 trees which become apple butter, candies, pies, ice cream and more while you watch! The Apple Barn and Cider Mill is also home to the Apple Barn Winery, Applewood Farmhouse Grill, Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant and Apple Barn General Store.
Walden Creek Riding Stables: Open 365 days a year, Walden Creek Riding Stables offers rides lasting from one hour to seven hours as well as rides requiring different levels of equestrian skill. Also enjoy a visit to a “Wild West” town, complete with gunslingers, horseback trick riding, a live show and vittles over an open fire.
